Spotsylvania Women Charged With Neglect In Boy's Death

Two Spotsylvania women have been charged in the death of a 4-year-old boy, authorities confirmed.

Charges have been filed against Bvatisha B. Bailey and Brianna Dashele Johnson, after Bailey's 4-year-old son was already dead when he was brought to a facility on Nov. 7 of last year, as first reported by Fredericksburg.com.

Bailey and Johnson, who are both 23, are being held without bond in the Rappahannock County Jail on charges of felony child endangerment and child neglect and abuse. The outlet, citing court papers, says the boy died of "poor care," and was dehydrated and malnourished.

Jail records show the women were arrested in May. A spokesman for the sheriff's office did not immediately respond to Daily Voice's request for information.
